Photo album of Australian buildings and places

A bound album containing photographs of Melbourne by landscape photographer C. B. (Charles Bristow) Walker. The album also contains photographs of Sydney by "J.P." and 11 photographs that appear to have been taken by an amateur in South Africa.

"Mr. C. B. Walker has had a large and varied experience of the highest order in Landscape and Architectural Photography, there being scarcely a Cathedral or public building in Europe, that he has not photographed, both inside and outside. He has always been connected with the first firms in England, and has therefore, been constantly engaged in work only of the best description. He is ready to go to any place in or about Melbourne, by order only, to photograph Houses, Architectural Subjects, Picnics, Groups, Horses, or Moving Objects (the latter by a perfectly instantaneous and improved process, known only to himself in this country), and guarantees the best results at moderate charges. Interiors a speciality.

Letters making appointments, attended to without delay. An inspection of his work at 9 5 Little Collins-street East, opposite Eastern Market, is respectfully invited. A large number of Books of Photographs to select from, forming a handsome present, to lie on the drawing-room table, or compact for sending home. Sold at all the principal stationers. His Landscape Photographs in no way detract from, but rather enhance the beauties of the scenes and architecture they represent, and it may be confidently asserted, that they have done more, to advance the interests of the colony in the old country, than any other means."

"E. O. Weir"--Stamp of ownership.
